So , after calling my family and wishing them all the joy and happiness in the world , I decided to cook something fun to usher in the New Year.. Made my first Semiya Payasam (Kheer) & Mysore Rasam ! For dinner I decided to whip up a non-alcoholic pasta creation- Fusilli Pasta with a Tomato Basil & Creamy Mushroom sauce (Thank the sweet Lord for organic whipping cream.. it seriously made the dish come alive and did god knows what kinda grave damage to my waistline:S). The key is to bung in a huge pile of thinly sliced mushrooms.This way with every bite you take there are some meaty m'shrooms waiting to make you smile with its earthy & smooth textures!* closes eyes and remembers..... Sigh! *
But seriously people! I could have hugged myself at the end of the day...I don't know how to say this without coming across as mega-vain but the food was seriously, seriously , SERIOUSLY so good!!! I actually caught a certain somebody (YOU know who you are;)) licking the platter clean!!!! And.. you know what they say right...about the proof of the pudding being in the eating and all- see..i rest mah case!:)
